A buddy and I decided to head up to SRC after work today to unwind after a rough week of work. The waster conditions were better than I was expecting. The creek was relatively clear (for SRC anyway) and the water depth was better than I remember it being the last couple of years. I'm not sure what the water temp was (one of these days I will by a thermometer) and I believe the air temp was low to mid 70s. Between the two of us we probably pulled out a couple dozen fish split about 50-50 between Smallies and Rainbows. My buddy was sing spinning gear and every fish I caught was on a chartreuse and white bugger sz 14. There were a few bugs on the water here and there but nothing major. All in all it was a nice way to spend beautiful evening weather wise after a rotten week of work.
