Tue. 6/6. Fished from 1pm - 3pm. Air temp was 63 degrees. Day was a mixture of sun, clouds and short rain storms. The flow was swift but it was very clear. I was hoping for a little less flow and a little more color in the water. I parked down by the S-Turn and took the path to the creek. I used a dry fly exclusively and hit the riffle pocket water but had no strikes. No fish took my fly and I only saw 5 rises in the larger pools. In the nicest pool I fished the rising fish in the pool never rose again after my first cast, despite casting from behind a tree on 1 knee. My line hitting the water was enough to disturb them. There were a variety of insects....stoneflies, caddis, a few different dark mayflies, plus PMDs, but no one fly was overly abundant. I never caught a fish or experienced a take and left a little disappointed.
