Water seemed optimal. Fish were very active. Tons of sporadic rises. Loads of fish. Seen some caddis dancing and alot of size 24 cream midges flying around. Very light fishing pressure as well, only a few guys compared to 10 or 15.

With that being said, small nymphs and caddis pupa's were my key to a 47 fish hour within 2 holes.

Awesome pictures. It seems I fish a lot of the same streams as you. I went out on Stony tonight and only ended up one with one small brownie. For my first year fly fishing even a one fish day seems good for me. I hope to head to the Skippack one night this week.

I'm kind of surprised at how many fish are still left in the Skippy. I went there last week and caught a ton despite all the guys that were fishing.

Kyle,
If you go, I only fished a size 16 stone fly and caught all of my fish on that. So take some stone flies and I would also have some caddis pupas like Mute said.

What part of the skippy is this mute? I'm right down the road from Evansburg state park, but seems like there is always a huge crowd down there.

Frederick, You know whats up! Save the stockies, Kill the wilds! 😛

SmoothLarry, i mainly fish 3 different spots all in evansburg. Right off germantown pike, onto skippack creek rd, pull into the parking lot, that long deep stretch there his loaded.

Also, behind methacton school, at the stone bridge off stump hall road, that stretch has a bunch of fish.

And off level road, down the long road to the park by arrowhead school, thats a nice quiet place to fish too.
