Fished sixteen mile and twenty mile today. Sixteen mile was scary low. Began at 7:30 am...the run in front of the houses near the mouth was no more than 3-4 feet wide...a number of fish there...one hook up on a cream elk creek caddis. My buddy caught a small one on cream egg.
Drove over to 20 mile where most people said they weren't seeing fish...walked down to the mouth and picked two up in 15 minutes on the fluffy egg pattern and within 15 yards of each other...a friend picked up two at the first deep pool and run by the parking lot...on a size 16 serendipity...
Stopped at Rick Road on Elk to look...a few fish in by the bridge and more seemed to be trying to move up...
It rained cold and hard for about 15 minutes at 3:00 pm then seemed to stop. Skies were clearing when we left around 3:30. I hope it kept raining.
