We are a long way from summer but my question is: Is there any type of shuttle services in the summer for The Juniata & The Susquehanna in the Lewistown and Duncanon areas. Looking to have my truck and trailer dropped off at the take-out

Is Juniata River Adventures in Port Royal still in business? I think they offered this service. Otherwise, I don't believe there are any livery services offering shuttles on the Juniata, at least not in the areas I'm familiar with, which would be from about Thompsontown to Huntingdon.
 
If it fits into my schedule, I could orchestrate floats around the Lewistown area. I'd meet you at a launch, leave your vehicle, and haul you to a launch upstream.

What kind of watercraft would you be using?
 
Well, the Flycraft would have to be slid into the bed of my truck to make this feasible. Otherwise, there's no simple way to do it. But I'd be willing to help you out in that manner.

never got around to using them, although I thought about it last year. SMB fishing was so meh for me, I only floated three times. I did more wading trips.

two years ago I saw a flyer on the board of Mexico Mart in Mexico PA (near port royal) of a guy who would shuttle. I did not pursue it though

It might be worth a call to Blue Mountain Outfitters in Marysville. The do a lot of rentals and shuttles and they also offer shuttle service for private boats.

Tim, I called them for a shuttle before and they were expensive with limited range. John at the Riverside campground in duncannon used to run shuttles but he sold it last year or the year before. You might ask them but I think that they will only do a few miles above duncannon on either River. It's always been a bit of a problem and thought that somebody might fill the void in the area but they haven't. If I'm around and you're down closer to duncannon, there's a chance I'll run it for you if I'm not running errands or something.
 
Tussey Mountain Outfitters might be able to help and could be worth a call. I know they shuttle all of the watersheds around their parts in Bellefonte, but I’m unsure about the Juniata/Susq.
 
Riverfront campground in Duncannon does a shuttle. We did it for a float trip last July, tying a bazzilion tubes and a few kayaks to their trailer. They could definitely haul a flycraft. As Krayfish mentioned it was short distance but it seemed like anything is possible for the right price. We had about 15 people and everyone threw in a few bucks to make it happen. Seemed like their wasn't a set price.
