Very nice job on that. Did you use some of the original hardware?
 
I believe the reel seat was cut and reused and I replaced or added the wood insert spacer. The cork is probably harvested or purchased, but not original, the guides except the stripper are original, but the tiptop may be harvested or purchased. The wraps are new.

I could have/should have got modern enlarged guides, but I have a fantasy of using it to throw silk, so I left them as I found them in size.

like the border and the rod-reminds of the five footer an old timer named Charles Brooks built for me.
Met him on Greensprings-got to talking rods and he offered to make me one-$35-lot of money in "63'.
He ended up giving me 3 more-nice man.
