Glad you got into a couple. Note that the fingerling browns stocked below Pottsville, but above the Rt 443 bridge in Schuylkill Haven this past summer had adipose fins clipped. I expect those fish to be 7-9 inches long this spring, so if you catch a brown of that size with a clipped off or deformed adipose fin it is a stocked fingerling. If the fin is in good shape, then it is wild. Note also that fingerling RT were stocked in the same stretch, but fins were not clipped because there is little possibility that a stocked RT would be confused with a wild one in that river. (Wild RT unlikely).
