Fished the upper river in the afternoon. Fish batted at my fly but would not solidly hit. I caught one small Brookie. I decided to change venues and headed to one of the tribes. Searched pocket water with a stimulator but only managed one fish. I found a large pool with rising fish, so I positioned myself for a good cast. I used a CDC emerger, looked like sulphurs were struggling through the surface film. I ended up catching ten nice size brookies. I hated to leave but by that time it was getting dark.

Those Savage tribs work wonders.

I still remember the first one I explored years ago, Bear Pen. I can see the orange on the belly of a brookie feeding to this day.
