Air Temps: mid 40s
Water Temp: 41 degrees
Flow: 85 cfs
Hatches: Clouds of midges and some olives
Spent two hours on the savage today, was glad I went out. We got three inches of snow at the house so I thought about staying in. Picked up two bows and two browns nymphing at my first stop, they all ate midges. One of the browns I'm pretty sure was a move up from the north branch as it didn't look like the browns I typically take on the savage. At the next stop I came across two risers in some soft water. I was able to get the larger of the two fish to eat a small parachute Adam's. Looking to spend some time on the rivers here as it looks like I will have an extended break from work and life in NOVA.
