Savage River, Garret County MD 4/18/17

Fished from 2-730, Flows were down to 110, water temps were around 48. There were grannoms everywhere but they weren't hatching. The trees and bridges were covered in them. Saw a few quills but alot less than last week. I managed three fish but hooked up on four or five more. Got my biggest brookie of 2017.

Nice Brookie Ryan. I'm in a slump for big Brookies...haven't caught one in that range in a couple of years. Not sure 2017's gonna be the year I break out of it either, given the low water conditions for most of 2016 in the areas I fish most. Have a WV trip planned for June though, maybe it'll happen there.

Staying at Harman's...will branch out from there for some small stream stuff probably during the day, and fish the Harman's water in the evenings.

Imagine how innately smart or lucky that fish has to be to make it that far. And you tricked him! Wooly bugger, right?
