Hit the Trophy Trout water below the High Street Bridge.
I got there around 12:30. Water was low, clear and around 51 degrees I would guess. Air temp was about the same.
Started throwing a tandem rig with a #16 BHHE and a #14 Prince nymph. I hooked 5 fish in a nice run and managed to land 3 of them. All of the fish took the BHHE nymph. The fish were in great shape. Each one was 11"-12" and had a little girth to boot.
All of my action took place in about 40 minutes and then that was it. I tried to hit a few more runs above the bridge, but the nice weather brought out the crowds and it was tough to find another spot.
Plenty of black midges in the air, but, aside from the same risers in the pool just below the bridge, I didn't see any other fish feeding on them. Didn't see a BWO in the time I was out, but it was a little early in the day.
