Got to the stream around 8 and had the place to myself. Water was up and fast but definitely clear and fishable. Did not temp the water but I'd guess mid 50's. I got one small one on a nymph and that was it. The stream hasn't really changed all that much after the floods and most holes look like they got cleaned out nice. The man-made damn in the park was washed out and my nymph run is back although nothing interested in there today. About 11 I gave up and headed for VC. Better luck next time.

I fished upstream today in the ATW from 2:45-4:30. A lot of the section I fished changed with the storms. One logjam/tree was relocated about 600 yards downstream. A few olives in the air and no risers. Ended up catching three with the average size around 9'' or so. Lost a holdover rainbow at my feet and had some faulty hook sets on some others as well. Didn't see anyone fishing, only had a weird encounter with a father son combo who came floating downstream in an inflatable raft w/ oars. They were floating downstream shirtless. I saw them coming and didn't really know what to say I was pretty perplexed as to what was wrong with people. As they got to the run I was fishing they had issues navigating and the father stood up directly in the area I was fishing and missed two fish earlier.Throughout the entire encounter they didn't say two words and they were only 15 feet from me. Not a hello, sorry for messing up your fishing, nothing like that. Nice to get out as I haven't fished in awhile as I have been pretty busy with work and archery hunting in my free time.

The saucon can be a tough stream but well worth your time. Some very large wild fish in this stream.
