Today was a day of brown trout fishing. Incredible weather. Started out like most morning's here, coudy and chilly but then the sun came out with brilliant blue skies. Drove about 75 minutes to meet up with my guide (Mike). We started fishing at around 8:30 and fished until amlost 5. 30 to 40 fish on, ranging anywhere from 6 to 12 inches. (Even got 1 wild Bow about 6" and a stocked bow about 13") Bigger fish than on the San Gabriel but they were both fun times. Fun fish, plenty of jumpers. Got most on parachute Adams and a dry Caddis but some on the Woolly Bugger too. Incredible day. Can't wait to head up there again.

Hope you enjoy. Pictures attached.

Got out of work a bit early yesterday and headed up to the San Bernadino mountains again. Wonderful fishing. It was amazing. I'm fishing for wild trout and 10 feet away are cactus plants growing wild. Who knew? I have fished MANY PA class A streams but have never seen as many fish in each pool as I have out here. Get this, CA has no size restriction and basically a 10 fish a day limit. Technically it's 5 a day with 10 in your possession but whose to know when you caught the other 5? Anyway, the streams I've fished this trip are loaded with pretty fish. This will be my last report as I'm probably boring you all by now but if you ever get a chance to fish Southern CA, I say go for it.

Oh, I forgot to mention the diamond back rattler that shared a few moments with me (too stupid to get a picture though) and the hawk that took a ground squirrel and flew right by me.

Aquaseal doesn't stop everything from compromising waders. :-o

Be careful out there buddy. The fishing has been terrific back here too, and we'll have to get out when you get home.

Have you caught anything on the greenie worm out there? That'd be pretty cool. Glad to see you enjoying your trip!

H-A, I haven't used it but I brought some and I'm going to try them before I leave for home. Maybe tonight if I can slip out of here early enough.
