Salmon River,Palaski NY 10/25/09

Hey folks,Started at the lower fly zone in altmar ,Had some pretty heavy rain most of the day but toward late afternoon cleared up for a while .The following moring(Sunday)turned out nice,About 55degrees.Water level running at about 350.Bolth days we hooked fish on orange egg patterns with darker colors seeming to get more popular later in the afternoon.The kings are adout done,We did pick up a couple but for the most part their just swimming chunks of rotting flesh.The steelhead and the browns are just starting to move.

Thanks for the update. Wish I could make it, but maybe next year. We'll see if Jay slayed them this past weekend!

Jay did not slay them.

I caught one nice domestic rainbow. Hook jaw and all. The centerpinner caught a half dozen. I hooked a few salmon and broke them off on purpose. I didn't feel like chasing them all over with 6lb tippet.
