Salmon River, Oswego County, NY - 11/06/10-11/08/10

I have found that losing tackle due to presenting your rig in precarious spots means catching fish in nearly every facet of fly fishing. That includes dry flies.

I spent the last week,Monday-Friday,on the SR and had a good time with many brought to hand and many lost battles.I used chartruse glo bugs primarily and also had some luck on orange estez and a streamer I call a "flesh fly".Used just enough weight to tick the bottom on the drift and ALL fish landed were hooked IN the mouth, foul hooked two and broke them off as soon as I saw that. Also landed two brightly colored Coho and they were hooked IN the mouth.
