Overcast but Warm, 70 degrees, the clear was running a little high and just slightly off color. I forgot to check water temp. Got in the area fairly late and fished from 715pm to 830pm. Only saw a single caddis. No other activity.
Started out throwing a white streamer. Caught 2 brookies and had 6 other strikes. Got to my final hole that should have held more fish so I switched flies a few times to see if there was a better option. Tried a few different color wooly buggers and both swinging and fishing deep but no strikes. Two spin fisherman (boyfriend/girlfriend) were in the next hole below me and when they walked out each had 4 on a stringer plus I watched them catch and release 6 trout in the 10-15 minutes I was above them. They probably got over 20 each.
