Started fishing around 10:30, it was windy and in the low 40's, water was a little high from the storms that passed through last night.I started with a #16 hare's ear nymph and missed 3 fish!!
Switched to a #18 prince nymph pulled in a 12" rainbow and a few chubs. The hits stopped so i moved upstream, and saw a lot of fish rising up and feeding.(About 1:30 pm)I saw no hatching but went with a homemade #16 olive dry fly and had a few strikes but didn't land any.Not my best day for catching fish, but at least the strikes were there.
