Hit the upper part of the creek below the Plantation for a bit, mid morning. That resulted in a scenic , but not too productive walk; only one small rainbow. Drove to the next bridge and was greeted by a larger than usual no. of anglers. The weather was raw; cloudy and overcast, topping out low fifties. The water was dead clear, normal flow, and around the same temp. Scattered cranflies, and tan caddis, though not many risers. It was obvious that any of the big pools and traditional spots had been worked, so I concentrated my efforts on the fast pocket water and runs, especially anything that was tricky to fish. Lots of rainbows, a handfull of browns and another handfull of brookies rounded out a nice outing. Covered a lot of stream, and walked a good ways, but had a great time short lining trout on a 3 wt. Mostly dead drift, but at times a few subtle twiches brought the thunder. Best fly was a bh caddis pupa(14).

good report, I never fished Ridley. i guess I should go when it is not a holiday or weekend.
