Fished for a few hrs. in the upper section this morning til a little after noon. Water clear and charging; a brisk 46. Mixed sun and clouds, and a few early stones and midges were evident. The fishing pressure was ridiculous for a week day, the main reason I don't fish this fly stretch much. The trout were fussy as well; I was happy to land three rainbows and roll a couple more. No. 20 nymph, and a bead head BWO (also a 20) did the best. (6X tippet) Did land one at the falls, but that is tough going right now, with a lot of water ripping over the top. Felt good to get out, and at least I didn't get skunked.

I think I do remember, but I can be such a yakker at times. Comes from having a big family, and having to fight to get a word in edge wise. Pickering was probably really pushy as well today. Would have tried there if I had a little more time. The dark stones can be fun if you catch them on a good day. Tight lines!
