Fished for an hour and a half on the upper section, starting a little after 11. Weather was sunny and seventies; water up a little with a hint of a tinge. Lots of midges and some caddis (tan) and a couple risers. I fooled with one for a bit, and managed to miss him twice. I then went back to business and fished down with a beadhead caddis pupa. The fish are geting smarter, bit I still mananged half a doz. brookies, mostly in fast pockets. Also, a couple rainbows and one very nicely colored brown. Luckily for the fish I had family obligations, so I had to go. Amazing how much better this stream fishes when it has a good flow. Maybe we'll get lucky and get another thunderstorm tonight.
