Air Temp by 3PM 63 degrees. Water was clear with a temp of 54.7 degrees. No wind until 3PM. Fished with English Prof and my son. Prof got 8 including a brown and a brookie all on a caddis dry. I got 2 bows and my son got one on caddis emergers. Fished a greenie weenie and a caddis wet fly to no avail although I lost two on the wet fly as I saw them chase the fly and I thought I was snagged. A guy from West Chester passed me and said he had caught a 19 inch brown further upstream. Lots of bug activity mostly caddis causing some risers along the banks. Always a nice day when fishing with a son.

Nice report . If you fish in the AM sometime let me know we can meet up .

Nice you got to fish with your son! I was out well above there Fri. and did pretty well though I was fishing the usual suspects; caddis pupa (bright green, or Tan) down and dirty. Gave a bait fisherman a nice demo of why fly fishing is effective. He had told me he was through but as I moved upstream I noticed he went back to fishing again. Wasn't really counting but apparently he was. Did lose a nice Brown that would have easily gone 20". Only one fish was really rising and I couldn't manage to interest him on top. Got in a few hours and home for dinner.

Nice report but I'm wondering if you were really with the Prof. Doesn't he only fish one creek and this isn't the one? :-D

can you fish below dismal run? Were you fishing above or below it? Good report, and I've never had that consistent of dry fly action at Ridley before!

Fox I had to tell Prof that there were ladies fishing this section of Ridley without droppers????
