Tried this stream yesterday starting at Red Run Park in Rouzerville and going upstream until I encountered some clearly private land. Despite some gorgeous plunge pools and runs, I only caught two creek chubs. The stream is listed as a natural reproduction stream. Does anyone know what the deal is? I'm wondering if it has the same water quality issues that plague some other streams running off South Mountain.
Water was high and slightly off color, which should have been prime streamer fishing conditions. I tried a slumpbuster and woolly bugger and failed to find a trout. I wondered if it was just an off day, so I tried a similar stream not far away and did pretty well there, catching 3 nice browns in a little over an hour.
