Spectorfly and I fished the nature park from 10-2 on Tuesday. It was a beautiful day and the water was still really cold. The PFBC stocked above the nature park but we never liked those new stockers. If fact we hate them.

Saw some fish rising to some sort of a large mayfly. Saw them buzzing around but with my bad eyes i couldnt identify them. I tried to catch one but never could. guess i got bad hands too :-D
but some fish were literally jumping out of the water after them. We managed 10 trout between the two of us. a few brookies but mostly rainbows. Spector the lucky SOB landed two small wild bows. Its great to see this stream recoving. Maybe sometime soon the wild fish will really take hold.

Anyways the long and short of it is the park is fishing well and it is beautiful. I meet an older flyfisherman who was amazed that im 30 years old (cause I look so young). If hes reading this...yes im going to take your advice sometime on trimming the hackle off the bottom of my mayflies. it sounds interesting to me. :-D

That works very well. It floats flush on the surface like a comparadun, but it's tied with hackle. Old guys know stuff. 🙂
