Fished the Quitty yesterday from 11:00 - 3:00. Air temp was 55 when I arrived and 61 when I left. Creek is running very full but not dirty at all. Creek has the emerald green color of the Erie steelhead creeks. I fished the Quitty park DH section. There was one other guy fishing but he left shortly after I started. Fishing was tough/slow at first and only landed one brown by 1:00 on a black bugger with a 3/16" red BH. Then walked up stream towards start of DH section and found a nice run about 50' long that has plenty of hungry trout. Hooked nine and landed six more all on same fly fished across and down - most of the fish hit on the swing or after I made one short strip. Creek was always silty but it seems like there is more than ever before - although it was my first trip there in about three years.

Nice job! I fished the upper section of the DH and only got 4 today. How far you down from the bridge? Did you catch all of them on streamers?

Well the only water I caught any trout in was that one straight and slower stretch that is right next to the pinic tables on the grass area below the parking lot. The other spot was about 150 yards below the upper bridge. As you are walking downstream there is a stand of bamboo on the other side of the creek. Then the creek makes a little bend to the right and there are a few old houses on the opposite side. I fished from just opposite the upper property down to the last one.
