Fished the Quemahoning Creek right under rt. 219 bridge between the Jerome exit and rt. 30 exit. Extremely difficult to access stream and got very scratched up on my way down but for the short time I fished (1 ½ hours) I caught 5 nice trout. Water temp was roughly 65 and only saw one rise. First tried an ant but switched to nymphing. 2 rainbows about 16 inches and 3 wild brownies about 7-8 inches. I can’t believe this stream sees many fishermen because of the difficult access and the difficult wading. I wet waded in sneakers but next time I will use my studded wading shoes because of the very slippery conditions. The only thing harder than getting to the stream was getting back up to my car. But still it was worth it.
