I've been there. My brother lives nearby, in Windsor. Or "Windsah" as the locals say.

I honeymooned in the area and camped for years right there in the campground. We still like it but are less and less up that way. My did I ever fish that river for perch once.

If you will have your boat, I definitely recommend checking out beechwood for panfish and bass.
