1st post here......Fished the PO headwaters today from 230-500 pm. Beautiful day outside. 55 degrees outside temp. Water temp was low 50's on my digital thermometer. Tan caddis, BWO's, and black stoneflies were hatching. I noticed fish taking the naturals (bwo's) as soon as I got to the stream. I started with a 16 Adams parachute and landed 2 browns right away. Fished the Adams most of the day and then I experimented with a henryville caddis and royal wulf. I got the strikes on the caddis when I skitted it across the water and landed my last brown with the Wulf. I landed approximately 8 browns and missed just as many. Average size was 10" and a couple of small 6 inchers.

I fished the Po again today from noon to 2 before easter lunch. No hatches so I tossed meat. I landed a couple including this nice 15 incher. He pretty much came out of the water to grab my green wooly bugger.

Nice fish, and it sounds like a nice couple of days. You may want to think about another way to photo your days catch. It's not the best practice to put the fish on the ground for photos.

I was unaware that streams in Monroe County we included in the early opening.

its class A - open year round in the headwaters
