Outstanding fishing this week on the Pine. The trout are definitely looking up and feeding heavily on a few Hendricksons, Tan Caddis, Little Grey Caddis, Blue Quills, a few stoneflies and fantastic spinner falls in the evening. Over the last few days, my buddy and I have had steady dry fly action from 10am 'til dark. We heard a report from another group of FF'ers that they had been having great success fishing Grey Fox dries.

Been the best opening week I've had in a very long time.

Same thing happening on Big Pine from Slate Run downstream. I've had some dandy dry fly fishing the first three days of the season. The only concern I have is that the hatches are running somewhere near 2 weeks ahead of schedule. March Browns on the water with Paraleps and Hendricksons? Oh, yeah.
