Fished the Pine Creek DHALO section today. Got there around 2pm . Took the water temp and it was 37.9 degrees. Water had that nice green tint. Sunny and air temps in the lower 40's. Parked on the hill by the church and walked down the railroad tracks. Looked like there were some midges flying around, but not very many. Originally started out fishing a size 20 zebra midge and a size 16 black stone fly nymph. Broke that off and switched to a size 14 red squirmy wormy and a size 20 brassie. Went two for three and landed both fish on the squirmy (all rainbows). Still some fish left. Pretty pumped with how the day went considering how cold the water was. Merry Christmas

Nice report! Pine has been fishing well since the fall stocking. Most fish there are in the 15" class too. Pm me if you're ever looking for someone to go out with!

Drakeking412, I would definitely agree about the size of the fish. They look like they are in great shape as well. The fish I have caught have all had really good fins and fought well for stocked trout. Thank for the offer

I grew up fishing that stretch, long before it was a DHALO area (70's and early 80's). I always liked it in there.

Back then, we drove all the way down and parked beside the train trestle, I doubt that's still happening.

I keep saying I'm going to go back down and fish it some time, it's just a bit too far though. I just need to do it.

No the path down is all rutted out now so you have to park at the pulloff. It really is a nice stretch. Allison park sportsman club takes pretty good care of it too.
