I fished Pickering in the DHALO section for a few hours this evening. Water was clear. Air temp was ~78. Fish were taking midges in the early evening. I then caught several on a bugger just before sunset. A good sulphur hatch came off right at dark. There were only a few sporadic rises, and I couldn't manage to get any to take my imitation. After fishing for 10 minutes in near darkness, I decided to call it a night. The fish were very selective with midges; however, I'm sure they've seen quite a few fisherman the past three days.
