Fished pickering this AM. 44 degrees, off color, flow was high after the rain yesterday. 5 rainbows, one brown. Lost quite a few other.
Two on a Prince and 4 on a green weenie.
It was cold,43 degrees when i started. Around ten there was a little sun and a few midges and some small stone flies started coming off.I did not see any surface activity.
I had one rainbow that went under a tree aross the stream and I could not get it back upstream. It popped up to the surface on the downstream side. I could not work it back with the high water.
I had to wade into the stream and I tried to net it several times from the down stream side while holding my rod over the tree upstream. I finally gave up and cut the line.
Forgot my camera.
