Fished the open water behind McCabes (that what us locals used to call it) for a few hours starting around 3PM. It was rainy with some heavy bursts, and the water was a little high and cloudy. Few risers, but I saw a couple Sulphers, some caddis and a few midges. Sunken caddis pupa under an indicator took fish steadily; mostly rainbows 11-13'', but I hooked and lost a few larger ones. Also, missed a bunch of fish, and got soaked despite wearing rain gear. Should fish better when the water comes down and the hatches get steadier. Anyway, it was on my way home; really!

Sounds nice, I passed by there around 7 pm. Water looked high & brown. I went over to the covered bridge on Potts Dam Rd. French creek was clear enough. Fish were rising on some white fly I don't know the name of.

I went to head to Valley yesterday after work and when I got there it was blown out and muddy. I should have kept driving to Pickering but figured it was in worse shape.
