Fished for a few hours, seen a few fisherman, junk seemed to be key. Great day to be out for anything.

And yes, thats a magnet on a fly rod, odd but effective.

Mute, maybe you could come up with a fly that imitates the magnet?

Mutes Magnet.

Magnet, nothing! I'm engaged by mute donning the leather jacket on a flyfishing excursion!

Lol troutbert, funny name, i like it.

David, thanks. Gotta sport the leather when im riding the bike to the stream!

Leather and Trout Magnets sounds like Sado Fly-Fishing ;-)

What's the over/under for how many fish have been poached from Pickering in the last 24hrs?

got to hit it today for a few hours - good flows, stained water, and stone flys around. got over 20 on attractor nymphs under an indicator.

From the reports I hear about poachers on that stream I would say 35

If Mute used his leather jacket, got glasses that cops wear and a fish commission patch he might save the lives of hundreds of innocent fish every year.

At least till it warms 😛

Just curious. Pickering runs through a very affluent area. Who are these poachers? And, if the poaching is so well known, why aren't they caught?

I stopped by yesterday, and was surprised to see brand new " NO TRESPASSING, FISHING, HUNTING, ETC " signs posted where the creek passes under RT 29. Had Charlestown Twp listed as the authority.

I had no idea it was illegal to fish there now.
