Fished it from 3 till 5. Got landed one fish on a zebra midge. Water was somewhere in the 40's. A good amount of bugs most in the water but some in the air no fish were rising.

I was going to head there today but ended up with dumb luck right in VF natl park. Ive found the fish there are very hit or miss there.

There were big olive nymphs everywhere but the wanted the midge. It was more of a mission to checkout the stream for the first time then fish but I had to get one.

The Special Regs area on Pickering along with the SRs of French, and the B-wine are scheduled to be stocked during the middle of next week.

Is it privet groups stocking or the state?

The PA Fish & Boat Commission is stocking the streams. Here is a link to the stocking schedules on their site:

http://pfbc.state.pa.us/pfbc_webgis/TroutStockingDetails.aspx

It's broken down by County and gives all the the stocking info, including dates, streams and stream sections to be stocked.

To find the streams, here is a link to the PF&BC Google map:

http://www.fish.state.pa.us/county.htm

Zoom in on any area and the streams are marked and labeled on the map.

Good luck to all.

I've averaged one an outing here since October so don't feel bad.

I'm surprised they're only stocking once for the season. I hope they stock the whole stream at least. I know Chester Valley Sportsman might stock it sometime in the middle of the season as well but you never know when. I've seen them (helped them) float stock it which is cool. Makes for a good outing when you can walk the creek and catch fish just about anywhere.

Did you use a bug net to see what was in the water? I'm thinking about getting a small one. Any recommendations?

nevermind. looks like they are stocking once in feb, april, and oct which is typical.
