Damn was it cold, well colder then the past weeks anyway. Water was numbing my hands so only snapped a few shots. Water is high, little higher then normal but id say PERFECT. Little off in the still water area, but still very fishable. Wish it would stay like this forever.

Nice photos. I really wish I would have brought a waterproof camera.

Depending on my workload, I may stop at Pickering tonight because I have not been there in awhile.

Ill be there, probably from 3 to like 5. Thats when i was getting the action, after 5:30 it was dead.

Hey gabber, did you get any fish down at that tree hole then? I only got one at the bridge on a green streamer

Unfortunately, I spooked a fish in the shallow waters with one of my cast, so I did not get anything there.

I did manage to get one in by the bridge and I lost 2 of them on the way in. Got them on an egg.

hey guys where do you guys fish on pickering i was there and i was in private property behind a bunch of houses and didnt even see a trout. Where could i get access and wat would u recommend there. It is stocked right?

get access right alongside pickering dam road. Fish under the railroad bridge, or the cuts and runs along side the big boulders up stream. Use streams, eggs and nymphs

thanks man Ill have to try that out. Also do you fish stony in norristown at all if so do u know when they stocked last. Thanks again

Yes i do, probably my number one stream to fish, because of the lunkers they put in 1750 to be stocked soon 🙂, do you live around here? You fish the same streams i do it seems.

yes I do live around here. and when are they stocking stony and what do you use there. Ive been there before but that was when just started fly fishing. I'm only 14 but I also fish valley. :-D

Also where can i get access on stony i go right behind the state hospital but i was wondering if there were any other spots to get access

You seem to be very knowledgeable with the creeks in the area. I am familiar with the location on the Pickering . . . caught a number of trout there . . . looks like you might have caught one of the ones i left behind. :-D

I would like to expand my fishing opportunities into the winter but am having trouble finding areas that hold catchable fish. The stony sounds promising but i have no idea how to access the creek. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

no where near as what it was, 2 or 3 fish under the bridge. and 2 or 3 fish in that one fast Cut of water next to the big boulder. Better off going to stony

right off Sterigere st in norristown. Throguh the state hospital grounds, stream runs along stony ck rd
