Nothing really hatching, had a good day. SHowed my friend what fly fishing for trout is about. Upon leaving i spoke with jim from the forum before calling it a day. By the way Jim, do you know if that kid on top the bridge was using bait?

One of the big bows had a spear/arrow mark on him. It looked pretty bad. The warden said the poachers were trying to spear the fish out of the water.

Also took a shot of this weird bug, it was swimming like a nypmh, but hopped like a cricket.

Mute, While I don't discount the threat of poachers on the Pick; there are several Great blue heron working those waters. That looks like the work of a bill or beak, IMO. Nice pics, as usual!
 
Van, i was considering that too. But i didn't think one could make such a perfect round whole with one beak peck. So i just went with the other assumption.
