Helped stocked the fish, then fished the fish! Lost count of how many fish caught, somewhere over 20. My overall best being a FAT 20 incher. Thing was huge, not much of a fight though, the creek is very low and in need of rain. I have very nice pictures and video, hopefully ill be able to get my camera cable by friday to show you all. I belive i was also fishing with mikemus from this site.

Hey mute, I was there with my spinning rod. I wan't sure if I saw you or not. Couldn't tell from your picture. I did pretty well with my rooster tails and trout magnet. I also caught what looked to be like a brookie out of that deep hold near the tree with a trout magnet. It was very different from the other trout because it was only about 5 or 6 inches and had red dots down the side. Very pretty fish. I also caught some of those lunkers you were taking about by the bridge around 5 then I headed home. Pretty neat stream, I'll hope to get down there again once my replacement fly fishing gear gets in. I concur that stream needs some rain. Very very low. I think every stream needs rain right about now.

Ahh then i met another fellow fly fishing that said he was on this forum. Im guessing you were the man who came to the railroad bridge, and i was there in full brown waders, and then walked passed you fishing the tree hole and then came back.

I stopped at the bridge on Charlestown road, I did not see anyone, nor did I see a place to park? Where can you park for Pickering Creek? What were you catching them on?

I decided to go to East Branch Brandywine Creek instead.

What time did you stop? The stocking truck didnt come until 12:45. There was only abuout 5 people fishing the stream until 5. Pull off onto pickering dam rd, theres pull offs on the side of the road there. Got them all on nymph variations a san juan and a wooly bugger.

Thanks for the tips Mute.

I stopped by around 12:15 to see the stocking and then around 4 to fish. I did not know about Pickering Dam Road. I definately give that a try during the weekend. Maybe I'll see some of you guys out there.

Good luck I may try to come by again with my spinning gear for a bit. So, if you see a guy fumbling around that's me.

It had to be super low -the fish are likely concentrated. sounds like you guys gave them some time to get adjusted...🙂

How was the EB Brandywine?
