PFBC walking back transparency?

Transparency is a precious commodity in both State and Federal government.

Its often only as transparent as the govt needs it to be in order for people to "believe the lie".

I agree, the videos should be posted.

However, it is a public meeting. As such, everyone has first amendment right to attend and record the meeting. It would be "fun" if 20 people showed at the next meeting, whipped out their phones, and recorded.

As a former news photog, of course you can record the meeting. Because they keep the minutes, they "may" not be required to keep media files but there is usually a stenographer (these days they can digitally transcribe audio recordings, either live or at a later time) in those type of meetings, that keep the official "transcripts". Not sure of the shelf life on those. I'm sure hey purge them at some point. If they do have them you can usually make a Sunshine law request to acquire a copy. There will be a fee, of course. 🙂

No need for the Commission to be transparent. It's always the same ...... ignore the science/ biologist, and do what we want.

For what its worth I blasted out another email to state elected officials and media types extending up to the governors office ahead of his state of the state address. I've gotten some good response, specifically mentioning getting other emails and calls concerning these issues. So hopefully these folks mention these concerns in office and the message spreads.

One can hope.
