Got to the creek around 6:45 pm, water level was not bad and was clear. Midges, some small caddis were coming off and later the sulfurs started coming off size #16. Relased 3 native browns from 4 to 6 inches on size #16 beadhaed phesanttail nymph. I also seen many more taking midge's. The larger trout were no where to be seen, must have moved back into the resevoir but it was good to see the lil natives doing well in that lower section of the creek.

still full of suckers?

I couldn't keep them off the fly last time I was there, slimming up my leader...only got one trout but it was one of the 30 or so big ones put in.

There were some suckers still around but it wasn't bad and a few small carp. Going there later this evening.

Suckers are gone thank god, made the fishing horrible there for a few weeks. I caught about 10-12 natives the other day there and about 6 stockies. The stocked trout are still there, just tougher to catch. Im very pleased that the number of native brownies are going way up. I've caught more then i have the past 10 years there, some over 12 inches. The upstream restoration work by TU must be paying off and the fact that the Park only stocks about 40 trout in the spring instead of the 300-400 they used to 5 years ago. Hopefully the bass that come up in the summer dont make too many meals out of the little natives.

Just got home 45 min ago from fly strech. I had the strech all to myself. Missed couple hits not paying attention, but did see couple rainbows and browns (stocked) and several lil native brownies jumping out of the water after cream to yellow midges also some sulfurs were coming off little later before i left.
