Fished the fly fishing only section of the Perkie and was impressed with the number of wild browns caught. County fish are also there, but only caught them at the dam.

Please read the guidelines for a Stream report:

What A Stream Report Should Contain

In summary:

"Please include helpful information for Fly Fishing: weather, water temps & clarity, hatches and other important fishing conditions."

If you can supply some such information, please do. Otherwise, post these types of reports in the General Forum or Stream Locations. Thanks.

air temps were in the 70s, didn't see many bugs but a few black caddis. saw two fish rise down by the rock outcrop, but didn't bother to switch to dries. Fished bead head caddis nymphs and larger stones fly nymphs. water was little off color and up a bit. Must have flooded pretty good from the rains the other day - I found a carp in a puddle about 30' from the stream on the walk back to the car. picked him up and put him back in the stream, swam right away.

Nice pics, i bet that carp was rather happy

great report may be worth a trip down there after all for me.

Thanks. So there are carp to be had in the main channel?
