Fished the penny packer today at noon, first spot was dead, could see they had a ton of water the flood line was about 15 foot from normal conditions. Then hit my normal spot water was about a foot higher than normal but water was clear. first hour 4 fish all on the green weenie, handed the fly rod to my GF then started hitting them on a gold panther martin. left at 2:15 landed 23 fish total was picking up when we left. Fish were very aggressive. No top water action at all today, saw one fish rise he hit the green weenie on the first drift.
