Honestly, it looks perfect for fishing. Go. Treaster and Havice a short trip away. Wish I could go!
lol Ive been adapting the last 6 months im tired.Just go and adapt. If you alwayscwait for your perfect conditions you will be dissappointed. Besides adversity makes you a better angler. Dont overthink it
I’m livin it. It’s like I had 3 years of fly fishing beginners luck and it’s run out hahaKeep chugging. Heck thetes rimes i get skunked,, wet,, equip breakdown. Etc etc. But each time i learn something. And use it to my advantage
The good news is the bar is set so low right now any slight success is gonna be huge.Lol lol thats life lessons son lol lol.
I’m not too concerned any longer. That initial CFS forecast was a bit extreme. Any stream im familiar with that would have indicated a massive blowout.George Daniel has a good couple videos on his youtube channel for fishing high and muddy water.
That "glass is half full" attitude will benifit you in a lot of ways throughout life, I promise. The good news is the bar is set so low right now any slight success is gonna be huge.
I hear that - sounds like I may be right there with you. I’m right around 4 years of fishing a lot and taking it “seriously”. I think it’s a pretty common thing in lots of pursuits. The intermediate plateau - which of course can feel like a lot worse than a plateau. A slump if you will. I think it’s a lot to do with expectations. Those first couple years expectations are low and you always feel like you are learning - every success feels great. Then you get to where you expect to do well - or feel like you should have it figured out. The last 6 months for me have felt tough fishing- wise. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s normal. I know this from other things like playing music, skiing, etc.I’m livin it. It’s like I had 3 years of fly fishing beginners luck and it’s run out haha
Ha! Speaking of chugging! Did some of that on some washout trips to Penns in the early years. Lying in the lean to with the beers lined up mid afternoon. 6 foot swells on the rapids down from the big hole below Poe.Keep chugging. Heck thetes rimes i get skunked,, wet,, equip breakdown. Etc etc. But each time i learn something. And use it to my advantage
