I fished Penn's Creek Friday and Saturday From Glen iron up to above Wiekert a bit. This was my first trip up to Penn's and I am not a bug expert.
At Glen Iron on Friday the Green Drakes were beginning to hatch and there were quite a few males hanging on the trees. Only fished a about an hour before dark, on Friday but I managed to catch an 18 inch brown on a Green Coachman. Lots of rising fish
Saturday bugs were hatching all day. Saw several different types of Mayflies and two different color caddis flies. A black one and an brown.
I caught most of my trout swinging a Green drake wet fly pattern. Saturday afternoon at Glen Iron the hatch was beginning to get heavier and there were females hatching. Lots of rising fish and I caught about 8. These fish are fat and healthy.

Its coming and I wish I could have stayed to see the full blown flight.

Thanks for the report, but I think you have your dates or days mixed up. Today is Saturday the 25th, did you mean last weekend?

Im hoping to catch the drakes this week sometime.

I am heading up friday for the hatch, can't wait, the last two years I went it was blown out. What size green drake wet were you swinging?
