fished below cherry run from about 4 pm to dark. i wanted to hit the green drake spinner fall but i was a day or 2 late. oh well. early evening, i did pick up 2 on a green drake nymph. it was dead for most of the night. there were a few left over drakes, march browns / gray foxes, cahills, sulphers, dark caddis, and a couple of stones flying around. after the sun went behind the mountain, fish started to rise. I caught another 8 more and missed a few too. the trout were taking various flies. i caught them on march brown emergers, cahill dries, sulpher dries, and march brown spinners. it was a good night for me on penns. i decided to quit around 9:30 pm. fish were still rising though.

note to self -- when at the truck at 9:30 and packing away the equipment, dont leave the door open and the dome light on. truck tends to fill up with caddis flies.

I did that at the Little J on the Sunday of the Jam....rode home with about 40 sulfur spinners. It was quite annoying. But if you are gonna be annoyed by bugs, better mayflies than mosquitos.
