Well i'll put a post in for the the Jam this weekend on my fishing. I'll look forward to the others that fished to share too.
Really good weekend weather for Friday and Saturday. No real rain for a couple weeks in the area and some talked about the water being low. I thought it was ideal. I think Penns was running at 287 CFS on Saturday. A good off color look about the water that I like. The air temps ranged from upper 50's in the early morning to upper 70's if not 80 in the afternoon. Mix of sun and clouds both days.
On Friday Maurice, Fishidiot made our way below Coburn. The place wasn't too crowd, but certainly busy when we got there about 5:00. Setup and cooked dinner by the road with a small grill. Made our way onto the stream only had a few risers to the Ephemerella's coming off. A few march browns were in air too. Caught a few on a sulphur pattern. As it got closer to 8:00 the creek really started pick up with insects. Some caddis coming off and the then Ephemerella's got really heavy. A spinner fall started and switched over to a B-52 (big rusty spinner #10) and found a few more.
Maurice how many time do I have to tell you, if you put the camera down you'll catch more fish!
Saturday we got an earlier start since we didn't stay out too late the night before. So Maurice, Stevie-B and I left about 11 am for Poe Paddy. Goofed off on the way into the park, got lost like once and took a bunch pictures of trees, creeks and stuff. Good times.
We got there and Maurice was tired after driving and getting us lost. So he sat there while we made him lunch.
The tunnel was closed, but looked like people still went over the bridge and walked thru anyway. Not recommending that just reporting. We opted to nymph below the bridge in the faster water for the afternoon. It was mostly cloudy with some sun peaking out and pretty warm when it did. No hatches or insects really coming off. We ended getting a few nice brown trout along that stretch.

We saw Grizzz and Lestrout and then must have scared them away as I never saw them again. Went back to the truck cooked up a few hotdogs while Maurice sat in a chair and barked orders at us thinking he was at home or something again.
The evening got very crowded. Really hard to find a spot on Penns at 5:45! Very slow with any early hatches and not until dusk did the bugs fire up again. A mix of hatches but a huge sulphur hatch at 8:00 with some spinners coming down as it got real dark. The fishing was a little tougher for us and others that evening.
