Rain showers and drizzle, stained water, shy of 300 cfs (the gage is 376 this morning down in Penns Creek). A single olive or two and midges around but it was a day for big streamers for meat-eaters. The full report is on my Sick Days Fishing blog (too tired to write again as I did the 3 hour trip there and back in the rain in one day), but the short story is we did well. We moved a couple monsters, but nothing netted over 17 inches. A couple pics below.

Was a nice article I have caught and moved a lot of big trout down there.

Nice article. Catching those fish at Penns will keep you coming back!

Nice. I dredged up a couple in the 17 inch range the following day. Water was high and off color.

Yeah, the water was coming up the entire day, and I drove east into a lot more rain that evening.

Thanks for sharing. Penns is always a blast, and the possibility of big fish and the quality and size never seem to disappoint. Nice blog posts too.
