i made a good decision to go to Penns Creek tonight. it was tough fishing but I caught around 7 or so. Biggest one was a nice brown about 16 inches. there were a few sulphers, cahills, slate drakes, and gray foxes around. from around 6 to 9 it was slow. a rise here and a rise there was about it during that time period. there was a decent spinner fall around 9:10 with fish rising but it was just too dark to continue fishing. it was a good night. i saw an eagle, heard a whippoorwill, and on the way out, using a flashlight, i spotted eyes. as i started to see the form, i made out a fawn laying near the bank. it was odd to see that espicially when several people walked right by it as they left the stream. it was a good night to be on the stream.
