Karen and I spent a day or two around Coburn, PA on Penns Creek and Elk Creek this past weekend. We got into the green drakes as predicted. The stream was in great shape, the rain pretty much avoided the valley around Penns and its tributaries. There were plenty of big fish coming up but fooling them is another thing. We got a few during the day and then got a few right at dark.

A nice Elk Creek brown. They were coming up to Sulphurs or a well placed Adams dry.

Always love your stream reports/photo journals. I wish that I could figure out how to caption pictures in the reports like that. It reminds me of squaretail's old photo essays that I miss so much. He was a little more poetic, but that is not a knock on you at all. I would encourage anyone to look up his old write ups, the guy had a gift of capturing a day on the water.
