The quality of the fly fishing on Oil Creek was well represented from the absolute lack of any fishing pressure on a pleasant evening with fine water conditions on Memorial Day Saturday evening.
Yeah....no bugs.
Weren't bugs.
Haven't BEEN bugs except 1 weekend of tiny grannoms about a month ago.

Unlike last year, when I didn't see jack-s#!t for sulfur duns but did see spinners, I'm not even seeing spinners.

I have a photo of Oil Creek off the Miller Farm bridge on June 14. That water level was a concern and it got even worse in Aug. A lot of people are concerned about the impact to the insects. It certainly doesn’t look good. I’ll post my photo when I get home from camp. I wish I had taken one much later though because that’s the real story.
