Fished Oil Creek on Wednesday from 4:30 - 9:00 PM with a friend. Missed all of the rain but had good cloud cover and fish were rising the entire evening, sometimes sporadically, but often with regularity. Caught 16 healthy fish 12" - 14" with one 15" rainbow. Fished a light yellow caddis with aforked hackle tail #16 then a #18 Adams parachute and ended with a #16 Sulphur emerger. Must have had 25-30 fish rise that weren't landed and NO ONE was on the creek except us. Had one fish one at dark, it just kept going. My partner was equally successful. On a 1/2 mile stretch we thought there might be 1,000 fish. Zowie, what a great dry fly evening.
